When we went our family made the hike despite the signs indicating private property (they just want to get rid of tourists). We had locals who were friendly help us hike all the way to the top. Unless you have a guide I wouldn't recommend going past the first waterfall as it's easy to get hurt or lost if you don't know the specific places to climb/jump. This hike is definitely worth it and is by far the prettiest and coolest place I've ever been. It's hard to find the trailhead and path to the first waterfall, many dead ends. We were able to find specific directions online which ultimately allowed us to find it.
