My wife and I are in early 70s and would like to visit. We can handle moderate walking, but not excessive steps or steep areas. Is there enough for us to see to make it a worthwhile experience ? Are there any nice places to see nearby ?

The trails are marked, easy to moderate walks. There’s one that’s a mile stretch. The park is part of the larger state forest wherein the Pine Creek Gorge (aka PA’s Grand Canyon is situated). I’m sure you’ll love it. You can drive around the area, like online on Potter-Tioga County visitor website or the PA state parks website. There’s a scenic route, along Highway 6. Nice villages around, plan for a day or two. The town of Wellsboro is a good base when exploring the area. Have fun!

Get a map from the Wellsboro Chamber of Commerce on Main St. beside the courthouse. If we didn't have that, we would have never found our way around as we tried to GPS on the way & it wouldn't work b/c there was no signal.

The trail is wide and level but about a mile back to the falls along the stream. Several people had dogs on the trail - leash required. This should be a great time for a stroll and enjoy the leaves. There are benches along the way. So if your parents need to stop and rest, they can take their time and enjoy the leaves.
How do you find Turkey Path trail from the rail trail? What is nearest parking lot to unload the bikes? I want to bike the rail trail to Turkey path and hike up first and then back down to the bikes. Have a couple people that don't want to bike more than a few miles. Thanks
