Bellewood is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1950. The population was 321 at the 2010 census. Bellewood is located in northern Jefferson County. It is bordered by Brownsboro Village to the northwest, Druid Hills to the north, a portion of Louisville to the northeast, and St. Matthews to the east, south, and west. Downtown Louisville is 6 miles to the west.
