My 11 year old daughter wants to do this. How strong of a swimmer do you need to be? Floatation devices ok?

They have basic snorkeling floatation devices. I think she may be too young for this experience. My older children who try anything were a little overwhelmed at first.

But, you are swimming freely with sharks and it's up to you how comfortable you would be doing it. The experience was incredible for me and one of the best things I have ever done!!
How close can you get to the sharks? Is there free swim or do I have to stay on the top of the water with others?
A:
Pretty close sometimes they are within 10 feet. It’s a deep water snorkel trip but you can dive down if your capable. Everyone is within 20 yards of each other
