President Donald Trump moved Tuesday to end the quarrelling among various GOP factions and move his domestic-policy megabill toward passage, telling House Republicans behind closed doors that they need to unite immediately behind the “big, beautiful bill” their leaders have assembled.
House GOP leaders worked through the weekend to win over a quartet of fiscal conservatives who voted last week to block Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.
With opposition from moderates and fiscal hawks in both the House and Senate, passing Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" is an uphill battle.
House Republicans have included in Trump's domestic policy bill a 5% tax on cash payments sent by non-citizens to family in their home countries.
