For the first time, FOX 17 News is hearing from a teacher at Antioch High School two weeks after its deadly shooting.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said a 17-year-old boy asked a teacher "What if I bring a gun?" and "What if I bomb the school?"

Much like a person standing in an airport line, making certain threatening statements, even in jest, are taken very seriously by school administrators, who reported this instance to the police department,

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Students gathered to protest at Antioch High School less than one week after a deadly shooting on campus. Just before the school reopened Tuesday, students lined up along Hobson Pike holding signs protesting gun violence.

After safely sheltering from an active shooter, SWAT officers brought them out of their classrooms. The Trump administration evicted former Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan from her home with three hours of notice on Tuesday. Their relationship is still going strong.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tuesday was supposed to be the first day Antioch High School students returned to class after two students were shot and killed in the cafeteria. The day before students were set to return, some shared that most of them were not actually going to go to class.

Just weeks after a deadly shooting at Antioch High School, a 17-year-old faces charges for making a false report.

Three teachers who were inside Antioch High School on the day of the shooting are speaking out. They say the school failed to follow its own emergency plan.

We will not be naming them out of fear of retribution and losing their jobs. These three teachers said school leaders and administration put them and others in the building at risk that day.
