Marisa Kabas, independent journalist and author of The Handbasket, shared a video of the clip as it appeared on a HUD TV Monday morning. Per Kabas, the clip played about five minutes before someone finally stopped it. “Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs,” she wrote on Bluesky.

TV sets at the headquarters of the Department of Housing and Urban Development played the seemingly AI-generated video on loop, along with the words “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”
