Pop star Lorde has launched the 2025 Glastonbury Festival with a surprise pre-lunchtime set to a packed crowd on the Woodsies stage. The star was greeted by thousands of fans, who crammed into the tent after rumours about her appearance started spreading around the site.

Lorde finished the set with impassioned renditions of “ Ribs ” and “ Green Light .” The former, which stands as the emotional centrepiece of debut album Pure Heroine, made its first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 in May — 12 years on from its release.
