TCM Classic Film Festival has announced its closing night selection, Michael Mann's "Heat," which marks its 30th anniversary this year. The 1995 crime drama stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and late actor Val Kilmer;
Michael Mann , the acclaimed filmmaker behind the iconic 1995 crime epic Heat has officially finished the screenplay for its long-anticipated follow-up, Heat 2 . During a recent chat with Vulture , Mann revealed,
“Heat,” which celebrates this year the 30th anniversary of its original release, was a visceral thriller bolstered by a face-off between two explosive characters, an LAPD detective, played by Pacino, and a high-profile thief, played by De Niro.
After confirming late last year that he was close to finishing his script for 'Heat 2,' Michael Mann said he has officially turned in a draft.
