The Michigan football team picked up an interesting transfer portal commitment this week as former Texas State kicker Beckham Sunderland is coming to play for the Wolverines. This pickup is a little bit surprising as Sunderland hasn’t received a lot of playing time during his career with the Bobcats,

Beckham Sunderland, the nephew of former Michigan kicker Brandon Kornblue, announced his commitment in a social media post.

Michigan’s football program has added a specialist through the transfer portal. Kicker Beckham Sunderland, who spent last year at Texas State, announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Friday. The junior played in two games in 2024 and had eight kickoffs for 530 yards with six touchbacks.

The Wolverines had hoped to add one or two offensive linemen from Notre Dame but appear to have missed out on both.
