Washington's Jake Irvin (2-0) is set to get the start on Wednesday opposite Philadelphia's Cristopher Sanchez (2-1). First pitch remains scheduled for 6:45 p.m. ET pending any updates from the team or Major League Baseball. The Phillies took the series' first game on Tuesday by a score of 7-6.

The Nationals-Phillies game heading into Tuesday night looked like it would be a good one. After all, it was pitting Nationals up-and-coming ace MacKenzie Gore against Phillies veteran and workhorse ace Zack Wheeler. It would end up with a wild ending that made most people forget about the starters.

After surrendering a three run lead in the top of the ninth, the Phillies rallied, thanks to a Johan Rojas sacrifice fly and Stott stealing home base on a wild Kyle Finnegan splitter.
