When it comes to Super Bowl parades, we don't usually see one until a team actually wins the game, but in New Orleans, they do things differently and that's a big reason why the city decided to hold a parade the day BEFORE the Super Bowl.

The thousands of football fans streaming into New Orleans this week for Super Bowl LIX are in for an extra treat. On Saturday morning, a Mardi Gras-style parade, complete with 18 floats, bands, dance groups and flying beads, will roll through the heart of the city in celebration of Sunday’s big game.

A New Year’s Day terrorist attack killed 14 people, rattled the city and prompted government officials to enhance the security precautions for the upcoming events.
