PennDOT said it will continue to treat roadways in the area until all the roads are clear, but some secondary roads may still be slippery.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has temporarily reduced speed limits to 45 mph on interstate highways in northeastern Pennsylvania because of the severity of Sunday’s winter

Although PennDOT crews have been treating roadways, the department’s primary goal is to keep roads passable, not completely free of ice and snow. PennDOT will continue to treat roadways throughout the storm until precipitation stops and roads are clear.
