Hyderabad: Prithviraj Sukumaran’s mother, Mallika Sukumaran, has spoken out against the misinformation and criticism surrounding L2: Empuraan. She urged people to be fair and not accuse others of crimes they did not commit.

Veteran actress Mallika Sukumaran, mother of actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran, has vehemently opposed the criticism aimed at her son in connection with the L2: Empuraan controversy.

Empuraan ran into controversy right after its release. Several RSS and BJP leaders from Kerala objected to its portrayal of the Gujarat riots. Hindu organisations also alleged that the film is portraying the religion in a bad light.
