The Tulsa World learned that the 55-year-old Springmann was fired by athletic director Tim Johnson after the Golden Eagles returned to Tulsa from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where ORU’s season ended with Thursday’s 73-56 loss to Kansas City in a Summit League Championship play-in game.
