California Sen. Sabrina Cervantes says she was falsely accused of DUI after being involved in a car crash near the state Capitol on Monday.Officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of 14th and S streets near the state Capitol building for reports of a crash involving Cervantes.

The Riverside Democrat says the records show no drugs or alcohol in her system after Sacramento crash, but one doctor is skeptical.

Sacramento police have accused a California state senator of driving under the influence of a drug following a Monday afternoon crash a few blocks from the Capitol that occurred less than an hour before she was supposed to be on the floor of the state Legislature.
