Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider faces a brutal decision this offseason at the quarterback position. He has about five weeks to decide whether or not to keep Geno Smith around for the final year of his contract. On March 16 Smith is due around $16 million in guarantees, a deadline that will spur a decision one way or another.

Head coach Mike Macdonald expressed his commitment to Geno Smith as the quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks and his belief that they can win a championship with Smith at the helm.

With the Seattle Seahawks not having a locked-in future at the quarterback spot going into 2025, one NFL analyst has the team taking a swing at trying to secure the position with a quarterback in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
