Dylan Harper became the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA draft when the San Antonio Spurs selected him after they found some lottery luck to pair the Rutgers guard with franchise player Victor Wembanyama. Shortly after becoming the newest Spur, Harper already has the jersey number he'll wear on the court.

The San Antonio Spurs and new head coach Mitch Johnson have a lot to be excited about with the addition of Rutgers playmaker Dylan Harper.

Harper joins a burgeoning roster that includes All-Stars Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, rookie of the year Stephon Castle and veterans in Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson. Harper was regarded as the second-best prospect available behind Duke’s Cooper Flagg, who was selected first by the Dallas Mavericks.
