The Department of Art offers a graphic design minor as well as a BFA in graphic design at the University of Nevada, Reno which emphasizes hands-on design approaches and digital media skills.

A highlight was Project Turntable, an experimental tool that allows users to seamlessly rotate 2D vector art within a 3D space while maintaining the aesthetics of the original.
