A brown bear which underwent pioneering, life-saving brain surgery in October has emerged from semi-hibernation “looking brilliant, happy and healthy”. Three-year-old Boki, who lives at Wildwood Trust, near Canterbury, Kent, had been suffering from seizures which were believed to be caused by hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain).

A zoo in England said the first brown bear to undergo brain surgery has awakened from hibernation and appears to be back to his old self.
