Forecasters tracking Atlantic disturbance months before start of 2025 hurricane season
National Hurricane Center forecasters are tracking a system in the Atlantic Ocean months before the 2025 hurricane season officially begins. The disturbance, currently a cluster of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, is being classified as non-tropical and is not likely to develop, the NHC said Monday.

The disturbance is forecast to move toward the north or northwest, where strong upper level winds and dry air will create an environment that is not conducive for development.
