A new Doc Martin is headed to television as Josh Charles (The Good Wife) has been cast as Dr. Martin Best in Fox’s Best Medicine, an American adaptation of the British TV series Doc Martin.

Popular U.K. dramedy "Doc Martin" is coming stateside. Fox has given a series order to "Best Medicine," a one-hour comedy series starring Josh Charles as Doctor Martin Best.

Beginning July 1, seasons 8 and 9 of Doc Martin will be available for local broadcasts and on PBS Passport, the streaming service for donors.
