Homer City and Kiewit unveil plans for 4.5GW natural gas powered AI data center in Pennsylvania
The partners aim to convert the Homer City Generating Station, a decommissioned 2GW coal-burning power station near Homer City, Indiana County, Pennsylvania into a 4.5GW natural gas powered data center campus spanning more than 3,200 acres. The project has been dubbed The Homer City Energy Campus.
The 4.5 GW plant proposed at the old Homer City Generating Station site would be the largest gas plant in the U.S.
