Remember Al Horford? Six offseasons after shedding his enormous salary, one has to wonder if the Sixers can do the same with Paul George’s deal.

Paul George has not met expectations since joining the Philadelphia 76ers in the summer, as he was handed a four-year, $212 million contract. Back then, it was viewed as the move that would transform the Sixers into Championship contenders. Instead, they are set to miss even the play-in tournament and have one of the worst records in the league.
