Two tornadoes moved through eastern Tennessee, leaving a mother and daughter dead and injuring three other people, officials said Friday.

Officials in eastern Tennessee say two people were killed when severe storms with two tornadoes moved through the region.

The tornadoes, which also injured three people and caused widespread damage, reached wind speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.
