The Trump administration has reached a multimillion-dollar agreement with Brown University to restore federal funding – its second major deal with an elite university after last week’s $221 million settlement with Columbia University.

Brown University reached a $50 million agreement with the federal government that will restore more than $500 million in research funds the White House had frozen.

The deal, which will require Brown to spend $50 million, comes after two other Ivy League schools negotiated with the Trump administration to restore millions in research dollars.
