The man, from Danville, won the prize playing the Kentucky Lottery's Lucky For Life game. He told lottery officials he started playing the game 12 years ago after seeing a commercial for it. The man purchased his ticket from the Five Star on Jan 30, finding out he won the $25,000 for life prize the day after.

Officials with the Kentucky Lottery reported that a Danville man has won $25,000 a year for life after playing the Kentucky Lottery's Lucky For Life.

Having won the second-tier prize, Ohio Lottery officials say the winner gets $25,000 a year for life or they can select a one-time payment worth $390,000.

This marks the second time in just two months that someone in Kentucky has won $25,000 a year for life on the Lucky For Life® game.
