On Wednesday at 12:39 a.m. an updated cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 a.m. for Berkshire County.
The Marquette NWS office said wind chills in some areas could reach 44 below zero early in the week and residents should prepare.
“With the cold air in place, any accumulating snow may cause significant impacts on roadways. Temperatures, meanwhile, continue to be well-below normal thru the period, barely getting above 32 degrees over much of the (forecast) area today,” the forecast said.
The National Weather Service issued an updated cold weather advisory at 1:44 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Wednesday at noon for Oneida, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison and Cortland counties.
