The first came at the end of the first half when Bowles let over 10 seconds run off the clock after the Buccaneers reached the red zone. With just 17 seconds, the Buccaneers essentially had to be perfect execution-wise. Fortunately, for Tampa Bay, it ended up scoring a touchdown to knot proceedings up at 10-10 at the break.

With Tampa Bay and Washington tied at halftime, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles was asked where his team went wrong defending Daniels in the first stanza. Bowles’ explanation amounted to improving a collective defensive pocket containment where the Buccaneers were falling short as Daniels chose to run and make plays off-platform.
Bowles' message seemed pretty symbolic of how the Bucs' defense must have felt trying to contain the Commanders rookie. Daniels went 24/35 for 268 yards with two touchdowns. He also led Washington with 36 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Another year, another heartbreak in the playoffs for the Buccaneers as the Commanders won the game on a doinked-in field goal.
