In a surprise move that raised eyebrows across the industry in late 2023, Marvel Studios removed the original writers and directors of Daredevil: Born Again. In their place, showrunner Dario Scardapane was parachuted in alongside Moon Knight directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead to help steer the ship away from increasingly stormy waters.

Unfortunately, the timeline nerds out there will know that doesn't quite map onto the Marvel timeline as neatly as you might hope for, given that it's largely thought that the Daredevil series took place from 2014-2017 and Born Again stretches up to 2027, a decade later.
Still, Marvel remains afraid to completely embrace the grittiness of Netflix's Daredevil, making Born Again feel MCU-ified (not just because of its bright color palette). It still gives fans a glimmer of hope for the future of the MCU's street-level heroes.
