Draycote Water is a 240-hectare reservoir and country park, drawing its water from the River Leam, which then supplies drinking water to Rugby and Coventry.

The wife of a much-loved father who sadly died after falling into the reservoir at Draycote Water near Rugby has paid tribute to a man who ‘brought happiness to everyone he met’.

A spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a two car road traffic collision near to the Draycote Water Reservoir in Thurlaston at 8.59pm, yesterday (3 rd).

Draycote Water hosts a number of different events all year round, from their running festivals through to artisan markets and other seasonal activities for all the family.
