Musk didn’t elaborate on how new Tesla EVs will make their way to customers. At the beginning of the year, the automaker posted two videos showing newly built cars driving unsupervised on a 1.2-mile route from the Fremont factory to their designated dock lanes.

The Tesla boss said he was back to working "24/7" and that he needed to focus on his companies, including Tesla. The stock is up sharply since April lows.

Musk has returned to Tesla and his other businesses full-time after working with the White House on federal spending cuts.
