Police were investigating a sexual assault that reportedly took place in front of a building on the University of California, Berkeley grounds on Monday afternoon.

More than 2,400 beds have been delivered at the university since 2018, with the completion of the 755-bed Blackwell Hall, 775-bed Helen Diller Anchor House, the 761-bed Xučyun Ruwway Graduate Student Apartments and the 105-unit Intersection Apartments.

The suspect was described as tan-skinned with gray hair, about 60 years old, wearing a white "Cal affiliate-labelled shirt" and blue pants.
