A winter storm carrying wind and rain from the west fell on Minnesota Saturday, bringing enough snow to make for dicey road conditions. According to the National Weather Service, the Twin Cities had received an average of 3 to 5 inches of snow as of mid-afternoon Saturday,

Counties including Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Morrison and Todd are under a Winter Storm Warning until 3:00 p.m. Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for counties north and south of the warning area. That will also be in effect until 3:00 p.m.

While it won't be a total bust, the chances of double-digit snow totals have vanished. With that, the National Weather Service has canceled the winter storm watch and replaced it with a winter weather advisory, signaling expected lower snow totals.
