The South Shore Sports Center, a popular complex for the community in Hingham, Massachusetts, was destroyed in a fire overnight.

Hingham’s South Shore Sports Center, long a mecca for soccer players of all ages, is “most likely a total loss” after a 4-alarm fire ripped through the complex on Thursday night, officials said. The sprawling facility was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, according to Hingham Deputy Fire Chief Louis Lachance.
