The New York Giants have agreed to terms with veteran QB Jameis Winston and the social media reaction was largely mixed and humorous.

The New York Giants are signing Jameis Winston. He's a notable name with a well-traveled résumé who will keep the seat warm for the next guy. Likely nothing more, nothing less. Winston could have played his way into a starting job with the New Orleans Saints or Cleveland Browns in his past stops,

Winston’s deal is identical to the one the Steelers gave to Mason Rudolph, minus the incentives. Known as a volatile player, Winston’s deal does not preclude the Giants from making any other moves, but it gives them a proven backup quarterback that can step in for a starter at any point.

Linked with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, the New York Giants have added a veteran QB to their roster ahead of the 2025 season.
