Tight end Zach Ertz, a pending free agent, made clear Monday he has no intentions of retiring after a rejuvenating first year in Washington that saw him play in every game for the first time since 2018.

The Washington Commanders enjoyed a magical season. The downtrodden franchise transformed into a Super Bowl contender in just one offseason, spurred by the additions of head coach Dan Quinn and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Zach Ertz was terrific for the Washington Commanders in their NFC championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The longtime former Eagle caught 11 passes for 104 yards against his former team. It was his first 100-yard game of the season.
