The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will deploy a payload of Starlink internet satellites in low-Earth orbit after ascending along a southeasterly trajectory.

After soaring skyward due east, the rocket's first-stage booster landed aboard SpaceX's drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX got to within 15 seconds of a launch from Cape Canaveral on Monday, but a “hold, hold, hold” call from among the mission control team members forced an abort. They were back for another try Tuesday and pulled it off.
