The Phillies have acquired right-handed pitcher Daniel Robert from the Texas Rangers in exchange for right-handed pitcher Enrique Segura. Robert was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.

The Rangers on Thursday sent reliever Daniel Robert, who made his MLB debut last year, to Philadelphia for 20-year-old right-hander Enrique Segura. The move was prompted by the Rangers’ decision to designate Robert for assignment earlier in the week to make room for Dane Dunning when Dunning was added to the roster.
