With just 10 days left before higher tariff rates kick in for many U.S. trade partners, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the administration is “about to announce a rash of trade deals in the coming days.

President Donald Trump announced a trade deal July 22 with the Philippines, hours after the leader of the country paid a visit to the Oval Office ahead of an Aug. 1 reciprocal tariffs deadline. The Southeast Asian country would pay a 19% tariff, Trump said.

The U.S. will likely extend its Aug. 12 tariffs deadline for a final trade deal with China as the two sides continue to negotiate, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a TV interview Tuesday.
